ABOUT HAMILTON

Incorporated in 1793, the town of Hamilton has retained much of its unique and historic character with its handsome homes, open farmlands, lakes, old stone walls and tree-lined roads, which create the picture-perfect backdrop of a quaint New England town. The Hamilton/Wenham area boasts hundreds of acres of parks, playgrounds and other recreational land, providing a bountiful array of recreational opportunities including horseback riding, beaches, yachting, golf and tennis. It also has a rich equestrian heritage, which remains strong today due to the influence of the many horse farms as well as Myopia Hunt Club, which holds frequent equestrian events, including polo most Sunday afternoons (it is also noted for its golf course). Hamilton is located approximately thirty miles from downtown Boston and Logan International Airport, and is easily accessible via commuter rail train service from Boston’s North Station.
